Pond Crossings

A Winter Day

I walk past this pond in all seasons. There’s always something new to notice. In the spring, the noisy frogs are active. During the summer, the pond is a stopping place for all kinds of birds. But on the day I did this painting, it was the long shadows and the tracks left in the snow by rabbits that drew my attention.
